Sue Nichols

Sue Nicholas, Founder & CEO

While growing up in Maine, Sue Nicholas knew she was destined to serve and has been doing so for over 20 years. A versatile and accomplished leader, Sue has held various leadership positions in both the public and private sectors. She has successfully led large complex teams and organizations, building new capabilities and leading expansion into new markets through innovative, pragmatic, and integrated solutions. Sue offers experience in leading high-performing teams in various sectors, including strategic planning, organizational assessment and design, leadership coaching, change management and communications, human capital strategic planning, workforce analytics, manpower studies, talent management, performance management, and continuous process improvement across the federal, defense and intelligence communities and private and non-profit markets.

Sue is a trusted advisor to senior-level executives and has a reputation for building long-lasting relationships. She is a thought leader and public speaker. Sue holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Thomas College and an MBA from Northeastern University.  She is certified in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and holds the Master Certified Coach (MCC) designation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Additionally, she is a certified practitioner of The Leadership Circle Profile and the Leadership Culture Survey. Sue is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

In addition to leading SCT, she enjoys spending quality time with her children and time at the ocean with her family. 

Lisa Wax

Lisa Wax, COO

Lisa Wax is an expert in corporate operations for federal government contractors.  She has managed a variety of functions, including financial reporting, budget and indirect rate development, project control, contracts, and integration of acquired companies.  She has expertise in managing a broad range of cross-functional corporate teams. Lisa focuses on finding ways to ensure compliance with simplicity and efficiency.  Before moving into corporate roles, she specialized in business process reengineering, logistics, and asset management. She earned an MBA from the University of Maryland and a BA in Economics from Oberlin College. 


Jerry Baird

Jerry Baird, Senior Vice President, Project Delivery

Jerry Baird is an expert in operations research, data mining, data analysis, model development and validation, metric development, performance measurement, and data visualization. He empowers organizations to succeed by applying analytic rigor in ambiguous contexts and underpinning decision making with defensible methodologies. He is a retired Army Officer with experience serving at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command. He is a Certified Defense Financial Manager with an MBA from the University of Illinois and a BS in Marketing from Southern Illinois University.

Phil Baylor

Phil Baylor, Vice President, Strategy

Philip Baylor is an expert in federal government program management and development, human capital, and organizational improvement. He manages SCT’s NASA Program and leads proposal writing for federal solicitations. He is a PMP and earned an MBA and Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a BA from the College of William & Mary.

Adam Schmidt

Adam Schmidt, Vice President, Talent Management

Adam Schmidt is an expert in training, leadership coaching, and talent development. A former Army Officer, he is experienced in designing, developing, and delivering talent development strategies for public and private organizations. He is a solutions-driven project manager who can conceptualize, design, and implement complex projects leveraging industry-standard and innovative management practices. As a skilled facilitator, leadership coach, and communicator, he offers exceptional ability to connect with and enable high-performing leaders and teams. He is a MCC, a PMP, and a certified facilitator certified in the Leadership Circle Profile and Hogan Assessment series. He holds a BS from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and Executive Certificates in Leadership Coaching and Facilitation from Georgetown University.


Colin O'Hara

Colin O’Hara, Vice President, National Security

Colin O’Hara is an expert in organizational development, strategic planning, workforce analysis and planning, and public policy. He has developed and implemented high-impact solutions for federal civil, defense, intelligence community, and international and domestic civil society organizations. He is PMP certified, Balanced Scorecard certified, earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University, a BA in Anthropology from Rhode Island College, and Certificates of Advanced Study (CAS) in Conflict Resolution and Security Studies.

Janet Evans

Janet Evans
NNSA Mission Support Program Manager

Janet Evans offers experience in the Energy and Specialty Chemicals markets and is an expert in risk management, program management, and business process improvement. She has developed and implemented high-impact solutions with the federal government and private sector. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and the following designations: PMP, Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate Safety Professional (ASP). She is also Lean Six Sigma, Process Hazard Analysis, and is an Everything DiSC ® Certified practitioner.

Drew Lucas

Drew Lucas, PMP
NNSA Human Capital Program Manager

Drew Lucas is an experienced organizational and operational transformation leader. He offers a broad range of expertise including employee experience and engagement, strategic planning, people management, communications, business process redesign, facilitation, and project management. He has delivered high-impact solutions for federal civil agencies and domestic and international private sector organizations. Drew earned an MBA and a BS in Public Relations from Florida A&M University; he holds a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute and a Human Capital focused Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida.

Dave Oaks

Dave Oaks, PMP
DoD Program Manager

David Oaks has extensive experience in project management, strategic planning, data visualization, communications, Defense manpower, and training and materiel readiness issues. He supports organizations with thoughtful and thorough research, analysis, and communication of complex problems and actionable solutions.  Dave is a retired Army Officer with experience in the Department of the Army and Joint Staff. Dave PMP certified. He holds a Doctorate in Public Policy from the Pardee RAND Graduate School, an MS in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a BS from the U.S. Military Academy.

Maria Nguyen

Maria Nguyen is an expert in program management, strategic communications, and budget management. She has over 20 years of experience supporting civilian and federal agencies. Since February 2021, Maria has supported the NASA Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO). Maria has an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a BS in Business Administration, Financial Management, and Human Resources Management from the University of
St. Thomas.

Dana Green

Dana Green
Talent Development Program Manager

Dana Green is an expert in training and development, leadership coaching, and talent development. She offers over 10 years of experience in program management, program development, stakeholder management, and training and development in the public and private sectors. Dana is an Everything DiSC ® Certified practitioner and is EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 certified. She holds a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University.
